Cheshire Marshals is a voluntary organisation that aims to recruit a pool of trained volunteer marshals and loan them out to support community events across Cheshire East.

Voluntary and community sector organisations currently run a large number of festivals and events but very often struggle to recruit sufficient volunteers to steward and marshal these events. They may also struggle to provide the necessary pre-event training for their volunteers.

By setting up an organisation focused on these two areas:

a. the recruitment and training of volunteers

b. support and loaning out of volunteers

Cheshire Marshals is in a position to make a positive impact on community events across Cheshire East.

The Gang

For those interested in becoming a volunteer marshal, Cheshire Marshals has developed a specific free training programme and began delivering this to groups of volunteers in April 2010. To find out more about the training see the information on our training page.

To find out how to become a volunteer marshal, or for community event organisers who would like to access the services of Cheshire Marshals please get in touch with us via our contact us page.

Sandbach Event

Community events are very often only able to run because of the dedicated commitment of volunteers.
Cheshire Marshals will support groups to keep our community events flourishing and will provide
individuals with an exciting and fun way of being more involved in community life.

We would like to thank our sponsors who have helped with funding for the set up of our organisation through to buying new equipment and to help with our training programme. Without their support Cheshire Marshals would not exsist.
